To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the MRPPF and Ensemble Pi have cancelled this performance and will reschedule it for a later date.
The Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation is pleased to host “To Whom the Shoe Fits,” an evening of performances by Ensemble Pi that explore the essence of the creative process through words, music, dance and images.
The event features excerpts of letters from painter Pat Passlof to her students, paired with musical pieces from composers Marianna Martines, Sofia Gubaidulina, Augusta Read Thomas, Laura Kaminsky, and Kaija Saariaho. Guest artists Lucy Shelton (voice and narration), Stefani Starin (flute), Stephanie Larriere (dancer), and Tanja Hoehne (visuals) will perform alongside Ensemble Pi.
Ensemble Pi players: Moran Katz, clarinet; Alexis Gerlach, cello; Idith Korman, piano; Airi Yoshioka, violin.

21st Century Consort: Time's Up
The 21st Century Consort, award-winning contemporary music ensemble-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution for over four decades, embarks on its first season at the beautiful St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill.
Pre-concert discussion at 4:00pm. Performance begins at 5:00pm.
